Jr. Sailor’s Responsibilities |

Ø All Participants are to abide by the Club Rules. Ø Arrive on time to class and sign in Ø Wear Closed-toe shoes; water shoes are acceptable. Ø All students MUST wear a USCG approved PFD with an attached whistle when on docks or in a boat – NO EXCEPTIONS! Ø Cooperate with the instructors at all times. Ø PRACTICE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. Ø Be prepared for class with sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, swimsuit, appropriate clothing for the weather, PFD, and footwear. (bring dry clothes & towel) Ø Participate in all activities to the best of your ability. Ø Play and sail safely at all times. Ø Each student will be assigned a specific boat. You will use only that boat and the rigging that goes on that boat for the entire program. Ø Your boat must have proper flotation and bailing bucket before you leave the dock. Ø All students are required to properly maintain their boat and to report to the instructors If their boat is in need of repair or has any problems. Ø Return all gear to its proper place after class. Ø Report any problems to your instructors immediately. Ø Remain at the round table at the end of class until you are signed out by a parent. |

In the event that a sailor’s behavior detracts from the quality of the program, the following disciplinary procedure will be followed: 2. The sailor will be removed from the group and will remain with the shore parent until the sailor is ready to appropriately. The instructor will fill out a discipline report, which the parent will sign. 3. After Three (3) discipline reports have been issued, the sailor will be expelled from the program without reimbursement. |
