Parent Responsibilities
Please notify the Program Director
of any vacations or days that you cannot be scheduled for shore duty ASAP. Once the schedule is made up, it is your
responsibility to switch with another shore parent if you are unable to do your
assigned day.
On your assigned day:
1.
Arrive at least 5 minutes before class begins
2.
Notify the instructors that you are the Shore Parent
when you arrive
3.
Know where the first-aid box is located
4.
Know where the phone is for 911.
5.
Be familiar with use of radio for communication with
instructors.
6.
Be available to instructors if the need help.
7.
Be available to call for help if an accident occurs
with a student.
8.
Supervise on shore, any student who is not sailing due
to wind conditions, discipline problems. Late arrivals, etc.
9.
Notify the Jr. Sailing Director of any problems
concerning the students or instructors.
10.
Ensure
all students are signed out by a parent before they leave the round table
11.
Leave
after the last student is signed out.
